District wise Computer and e-Governance Training to PWD Staffs
PWD is implementing a series of web based e-Governance application. These include e-tendering, computerised F.M.S, SPARK, and File Tracker. Certain staffs of PWD haven’t yet received proper Computer awareness training. For the successive implementation of e-Governance applications in PWD, staffs should be given proper I.T training. Hence it is planned to conduct this training in a phased manner.
The training is to be conducted in this year as a part of the Institution Strengthening Action Plan (ISAP) under the World Bank aided Kerala State Transport Project (KSTP) by utilizing the service of IHRD. In this, basic computer training will be given to 700 PWD staffs for 3 days in all the districts of the state. The training will be given to staffs from all districts selected by the HRD cell of PWD.
The training will be conducted in the district centres of IHRD starting from 18-2-2010 to 20-2-2010 and 22-2-2010 to 24-2-2010.
The training Sessions in Thiruvananthapuram District was inaugurated by the Chief Engineer (Roads & Bridges and I.T) Sri.T. Baburaj on 22-02-2010. The function was presided over by Prof. V Subramony, Director, IHRD.
